FACILITIES

Our homestay is in a peaceful part of town, north of the city centre, but just a short distance from the centre of Yogya and its many attractions. Please see the map below. All our guest rooms have air conditioning and a fan, private bathrooms with hot and cold water, mosquito nets and desks for studying. We have a free wireless internet connection for our guests and we provide a laundry service.

We are about five minutes walk from a four star hotel with a fitness centre and large swimming pool. Visitors can join the fitness centre for a daily or monthly fee. Several large shopping malls: “Carrefour”, stocking a wide range of Western and Indonesian food are a 15 minute walk away.

We are always happy to offer advice on local sight-seeing and other information. If guest would like us to help arrange tours to Yogyakarta’s many attractions we can do so. We can also try to help with travel arrangements and eg car hire. We also have some bicycles which guests are welcome to borrow. If guests would like a lift to or from the airport/train station we are happy to provide this, for a small charge.

Food

We provide a European or Indonesian breakfast for all our guests and traditional Javanese food in the evenings. We pride ourselves on the quality of our home cooking and we always use locally sourced products where possible. Some of our longer-term visitors also explore the local area’s rich variety of restaurants and traditional ‘warungs’.
